1970 Plymouth Road Runner – $39,500

Are you looking for a rare project car that has had a majority of the hard work completed? Check out this 1970 Lime Green Road Runner that is extremely solid and has already had tens of thousands of dollars invested. This is a factory 383cid with manual 4-speed that came in the ever popular lime green color. The bucket seats have been freshly recovered with Legendary seat covers and the console has also been restored to new condition.

The car came with the Rally gauge package including a tic-toc-tach as well as power disk brakes and 3:23 rear-end with posi. The numbers matching motor and transmission were rebuilt, though the rebuild happened about 20 years ago and we would recommend a tear down to check everything before putting it back in the car. It has been stored and everything turns freely, but since its already out, it would be advisable to just double check. The car also includes a new power booster and master cylinder for the all new disk brake setup.

The front end has also been completely rebuilt and powder coated to the proper and correct color and a new clutch was a part of the work already completed. The front grill is original and complete and what we would call “mint!”. The car has very nice original front fenders, hood and doors. The quarter panels are also original, though they had been repaired back in the 1970s. We do have new AMD quarters and trunk pan available if desired. All of the glass is new ECS date coded glass and will finish off the car nicely. This is an original California car and has never been rusty and is ready for the next owner to complete and love.

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner – $17,500 (SOLD)

This is a real 1970 Roadrunner that has always been a desert car and very dry. It is an original black car with black interior and rear black stripe. Somewhat unique, and fun, is that this car is an original 4 speed car with bench seat. The car does include the original fender tag with inspector stamps to verify the unique options.

The car has been apart for some time and is missing some items but everything for this car is available. The front seat is out of a 4 door and does not have the split. It does come with a correct 1970 trans but it is not the numbers matching trans. We got the car with a 1972 400cid but we also have a late 60’s 383 if someone is interested in that motor to go with the car.

None of the sheet metal needs to be replaced and even the trunk is solid. The pictures are how the car comes and is how the car came to us. We have added several parts to make it more complete and to help someone get their restoration project started. The glass is nice and original with factory tint. All the windows go up and down and doors shut very nice. Front windshield is new but will require a new gasket when the car is put on the road. The rear end is an 8 3/4 with no possi and 11” drum brakes all the way around. All and all, a unique Roadrunner that will make a grate restoration project.
