1969 Plymouth Cuda 440

Yes, this is one of the ultra-rare 1969 Cuda 440s. This one especially unique in that it is the only black one made that came with blue interior. An actual one of one. Unfortunately, this car spent a large portion of its life as a race car, and the body shows it. A lot of work has gone into getting the body work done, but it is a labor of love and is the personal car of one of owners of S&S.

More body & paint work – Nov 2020

When a car demands something far beyond the ordinary, something that “outshines” any car around, we use a special paint process that we came up with. This car demanded and so we shot it with a single stage PPG Concept and then added clear on top of that which gives it the deepest richest black paint job on the planet, you can see the results in the pictures below, which do not do it justice. To get the full effect you have to see it in person, the paint looks like it is five feet deep. We have also started work on the headliner and interior.

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner – $17,500 (SOLD)

This is a real 1970 Roadrunner that has always been a desert car and very dry. It is an original black car with black interior and rear black stripe. Somewhat unique, and fun, is that this car is an original 4 speed car with bench seat. The car does include the original fender tag with inspector stamps to verify the unique options.

The car has been apart for some time and is missing some items but everything for this car is available. The front seat is out of a 4 door and does not have the split. It does come with a correct 1970 trans but it is not the numbers matching trans. We got the car with a 1972 400cid but we also have a late 60’s 383 if someone is interested in that motor to go with the car.

None of the sheet metal needs to be replaced and even the trunk is solid. The pictures are how the car comes and is how the car came to us. We have added several parts to make it more complete and to help someone get their restoration project started. The glass is nice and original with factory tint. All the windows go up and down and doors shut very nice. Front windshield is new but will require a new gasket when the car is put on the road. The rear end is an 8 3/4 with no possi and 11” drum brakes all the way around. All and all, a unique Roadrunner that will make a grate restoration project.

1967 Dodge Coronet 440 Wagon – $19,500 (SOLD)

1967 coronet 440 station wagon

This is a factory 383 car with 727 automatic transmission. The power steering has been rebuilt and the power brakes now have a new master cylinder. The paint and body are all original, which looks great for the age. It shines up nicely after it was cleaned and buffed. There are scratches and fading but it still has a shine!

The interior had to be completely redone and we added a little custom work but it is super nice and new both front and rear. The materiel is NOS material from the 60’s. The carpet is also new and all interior metal was sanded and painted. The door panels are original and in good shape.

The motor has had a 4-barrel swap with original intake carb and air cleaner. The heads were also freshened up for reliability and performance. The car drives very nice and gets tons of attention with its very solid, no rust body from California.

$19,500 – SOLD

1970 Hemi Carbs (Auto) – $4000

This is a rare set of 1970 Hemi carbs for automatic cars. They have the J9 date and they are a matching set. They have very good core shafts that are tight and free. All parts are correct except the electric choke and housing that will need to be changed if you are going back to OEM. The rear fuel inlet is for straight light and will need to be changed if going to 90 degree inlet.

J carbs are very unique and were only cast for one month only. They only came for automatic cars and no 4 speeds were made. This is an excellent set of carbs for show restoration. They came from a low mileage car many years ago.

$4000

1970 Superbird Fenders – $3500

Here is a real nice set of or 1970 Coronet fenders that have been converted for a Superbird. The lower front leg has been shortened and bent with a nice lip for the Superbird lower valance. The upper holes have been drilled for top scoops as well.

The fenders were stripped and sealed and then skimmed and primed. They are ready for fit and blocking. They have super solid metal with only a couple very very minor pin holes on the lower leg but really a nice set of original fenders.

$3500

1971 Cuda 340 4 Spd – $49k (SOLD)

This is a real 1971 cuda 340 4 speed. The original color is black with white interior, which will be an incredible combination when finished.

The car has an original 93k miles and came from Arizona and is now in California at our shop. This is an extremely rare and very cool optioned car. The motor and transmission are numbers matching and appear to never have been out of the car.

The car was a special order car with factory A/C, power disk brakes and power steering. It also came with an am/fm stereo and ultra rare dictaphone recorder with console. The car has been sitting for more than 20 years and just recently got up and running. Yes, it is a running and driving car that is registered for the street.

There are some rust areas as seen in the pictures. This is centered around the back window area due to someone installing a very poor makeshift vinyl top. The floor behind the driver seat has a rust hole because someone left some wet rags sitting for a long time. It is painful to see these things happen. The remaining pans and frames are in great condition. The passenger side rear quarter panel has been changed many years ago with NOS parts with the number still on it. The remaining panels are original.

Back in the day, the rear wheel lips were rolled up for fat tires. The car drives down the road good but we would not consider it a daily driver. With some minor upgrades and some good ol’ TLC it can be a good driver. The grill is a new aftermarket set up. All of the lights and gauges are in working order and the glass is In good original condition. The body was recently stripped and put into primmer because it was so ugly.

The car will still need to be properly aligned and gapped when the metal work is completed. It does come with a new rear Dutchman’s panel to fix rust.

This is a super rare find with correct numbers and paper work including original fender tag and build sheet. We are certain it is a one off car and we have never seen anything like it. Black is the ultimate color for a Cuda and to get a 4-speed with A/C required a special order from Chrysler.

49k – SOLD
